Correct! Salty-Bins® operated seasonally. Bin Cleaning Season is March - November. Here in Wilmington, NC we have the occasional 70ºF winter day, but for the most part it is chilly! Cold temperatures during the winter keep odors/bugs at bay.....why pay for service you don't need?
We begin service in March and automatically pause billing and service for all recurring clients December, January, and February. We will resume billing and service the following March, no need to sign up again or restart service, but keep us updated if any of your service details change!
Salty-Bins® Bin Cleaning Service Area includes all of Wilmington, NC + Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Wrightsville Beach. We can ONLY provide service in these zip codes: 28401, 28403, 28405, 28409, 28411, 28412, 28428, 28449, 28480. If you don't see your location listed, you are welcome to fill out the contact form to get on our waitlist!
After signing up and provide details about your collection, we'll send you an email confirmation of your cleaning date(s) within 24 hours! Most often, we can schedule your first cleaning on your next trash/recycling collection day. We know there's nothing worse than stinky bins, so we will get you on the schedule ASAP. The earlier you sign up, the sooner we can get you cleaned!
Remember, WE ONLY OPERATE MARCH - NOVEMBER. All recurring services are paused December through February and will resume the following March.
Nope! You select your frequency and number of bins! Just remember - no bin swapping! We'll ask you to specify whether we are cleaning trash or recycling bin(s) when you sign up. Additional Bins are discounted for all service options if they are cleaned at the same time and same location as the first bin.
Every 4 Weeks is optimal to maintain the hygiene of your bins and keep odors at bay, but we also offer service Every 12 Weeks or just One Time!
Remember: we only operate March - November, so billing and service are paused for December, January, and February.
All of our services take place on your trash/recycling pickup day - we send a text reminder the day before each cleaning to remind you!
Trash Bin Cleaning, like many service-based businesses, will be done faster and more effectively by a professional than if you were to do it yourself. Why climb half way into your trash bin with a scrub brush and bleach when Salty-Bins® will DISINFECT, SANITIZE, and DEODORIZE your bins WITHOUT HARSH CHEMICALS in less than 10 minutes? We use 200ºF water and super-high pressure spinning heads to wash both the interior and exterior of each bin - plus we contain the runoff, haul away the dirty water, and dispose of it safely.
First, read our Terms & Conditions, then you can follow this link to Sign Up, submit payment, and provide details about your collection. This should only take a couple minutes, but feel free to call if you aren't tech-savvy or if you have any problems!
Once you've paid and submitted your information, a Salty-Bins® team member will send an email confirmation of details and cleaning date(s) within 24 hours of receiving your payment and service details.

Return Valet is an optional add on: leave your bins at curb after they are emptied and we will return them to their designated location after cleaning (under carport, behind enclosure, etc.)!
*For Landfall, Figure 8, and all HOA's that have Back Door Service from their trash collector, we offer Full Valet: we retrieve bins upon arrival (from designated location) and return bins after cleaning. YOU WILL NOT SEE THIS OPTION AT CHECKOUT. Full Valet is required for all clients in Landfall, Figure 8, and all HOAs that do not allow bins to sit at the curb for any period of time. We will add this to your invoice manually after you sign up.
We offer two options for Bin Valet:
Return Valet (+$3): leave your bins at curb after trash is emptied and we will return them to their designated location after cleaning (under carport, behind enclosure, etc.). You'll see the option to add this on the checkout page!
Full Valet (+$5): we retrieve bins upon arrival (from designated location) and return bins after cleaning. Full Valet is considered by request only. YOU WILL NOT SEE THIS OPTION AT CHECKOUT. Full Valet is required for all clients in Landfall, Figure 8, and all HOAs that do not allow bins to sit at the curb for any period of time. We will add this to your invoice manually after you sign up.
Discounts: Our current rates are as low as they go! We are offering our HOA discount to ALL customers until July 2023!
Bin Valet: You can add this at checkout! After you submit payment and complete your service information form, we will send an email with all your scheduled dates + a printable pdf calendar. Before each visit, we will send a text reminding you to leave your bins at the curb. This is true for ALL services, every visit!
In addition to your bins smelling and looking clean, we will place a small (removable) piece of tape on the lid so you can tell before you smell-check!
Please call us at 833-725-8924 as soon as you have a move-out date! If your new home is in our Service Area, we'll update your property information and get you rescheduled. If you're moving outside of our service area we will review your account for potential refunds.
Absolutely! Whether you want to switch from Every 12 Weeks to Every 4 Weeks (or vice-versa) you can do so in the Customer Portal! Your next payment will be adjusted to the new rate.
This is a life-long commitment to clean bins - JUST KIDDING! You can cancel anytime in the Customer Portal. If you sign up for recurring service (every 4 or 12 weeks) we reserve the right to charge a Cancellation Fee of up to the cost of a One Time Clean for the applicable number of bins. This is solely in place to prevent abuse of our pricing structure to obtain a lower cost service. For example: if you sign up for 1 Bin to be cleaned Every 4 Weeks for $9.99, but cancel after the 1st visit - you will be charged $40.00 at the time of cancellation (One Time Clean Cost - amount already paid).
